Yamaha Reface CP to Komplete Kontrol A49 via MIDI
This tutorial explains how to connect a Yamaha Reface CP synthesizer to a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol A49 keyboard via MIDI.
The main challenge: The NI Komplete Kontrol A49 sends MIDI only via USB, while the Reface CP lacks USB host mode capability. This means a direct connection between A49 and Reface CP is impossible.

Control MIDI signals with a plasma ball and make music
I discovered that my $7.99 plasma ball from Banggood generates unintended electromagnetic interference that gets picked up as MIDI messages by my Modal Craft Synth when connected via USB.
The plasma ball is so badly shielded that the electric signals are picked up somehow as MIDI messages. While having the Craft Synth App open, I realized that it picked up some MIDI messages constantly and some changes when I put my fingers on the Plasma ball.
